Menu: Analyze / Aerial


The aerial detection classifies automatically points using the returns value of an aerial scan (drone or plane data acquisition) and will distribute you point cloud between 3 classes: Ground, Vegetation and Building

Different settings are available for this function:

  • Ground: Check the box if you want the software to do the ground classification and select the return number to attribute.

  • Vegetation: Check the box if you want the software to do the vegetation classification and select the return number to attribute.

  • Building: Check the box if you want the software to do the building classification and select the minimum elevation.

  • Limit by radius (in distance units): Limits the zone to be processed around the starting point. To select your starting point, check "Limit by radius" then click on "pick by radius" then on the  point cloud. You will have to input the radius value in  field.
