This tab manages the outline of the surface. That outline can be automatically generated in the drawing menu. The outline must begin and end with the same point, in order to close the figure.
The functions available for managing the outline are, with a few differences, the same for managing surface points. Furthermore, a pick line option allows to generate an outline from a line displayed in the main window and moreover another function automatically creates a corridor based on a predefined alignment. It is available in the pop-up menu under the heading "Generate by court order", choosing an alignment and offset distances:
When right-clicking on a point of the contour, several other options are available. One that is particularly useful is the modify elevation. Placing an unknown elevation to an outline will interpolate its elevation upon triangulation. Thus if the line picked or the alignment used was not at a proper elevation it reduce the false triangles on the edge of the surface.
