Preparation before installation
It is recommended to keep backups (details below) before installing, to close all running programs and to restart your computer in order to ensure that all running programs are closed.
Updating from an older version (2020 and older)
You must uninstall the previous versions before installing the new ones. Install the programs in the same directory as the older versions. When the installation program asks for the installation directory, select the same as the previous version. Your working files created with the previous version will not be deleted.
Saving your templates :
It is recommended to make backups of your files. Save the templates of the descriptive file CogoFileName.mdb, the configuration file (configuration.mdb), VisionCivil line types, fonts, blocks, cells and templates installed in the CAD and VisionCivil folders.
AutoCAD/BricsCAD: (*.lin, *.mln, *.dwg, *.dwt, *.shx, *dwg).
MicroStation/PowerDraft: (*.rsc, seed file *.dgn, *.cel)
The model files (like model.dwg) will be replaced during the installation. If you want to keep the model files, rename them or copy them elsewhere. On the server, for example.
