Field Data calculation

  • Logbook module string processing now supports DIST, RECT, PC and PT english control codes.

Fixes

  • You can enter measurements in feet/inches using the following convention: 154’4”3/4. Ref.: CIV-943

  • In the version available for the MicroStation PowerDraft drawing platform, the drawing of chains according to the selected drawing scale has been corrected. Ref.: Civ-3628

  • It is now possible to add a point group even if an existing point group has errors. Ref.: CIV-3729

  • Importing ASCII files using an offset constant has been adjusted so that the offset constant is applied correctly in the definition of strings. Ref.: CIV-3733

  • Points without PCodes are now processed in the “Field Data calculation” function. Ref.: CIV-3757

  • The fonts used by the “Measurements” function in the MicroStation platform are now the predetermined fonts in the VisionPlus configuration when the “use VisionPlus drawing parameters” option is selected. Ref.: CIV-3771

  • Accessibility to the “Z Coordinates” field has been restored in the “Express Create/Edit Point” function. Ref.: CIV-3773

  • The “List of free points” function has been optimized. Ref.: CIV-3775

  • The “Coordinate conversion using factor” function has been corrected in order to keep the notes associated with the converted points. Ref.: CIV-3853

Fixes

  • The function to add an owner that has already been entered, for people to notify, has been reinstated. Ref.: CIV-3802

  • In the owners' letter of approval, the dot after the abbreviation “Mrs” associated with the Land Surveyor's name has been removed. Ref.: CIV-3797

New Features

Online Help

  • A new online help is available from the VisionPlus functions by pressing the F1 button (All documentation will be updated over time).

Importing PCodes [Settings/Standards/Import PCodes].

  • In order to facilitate the creation of a drawing standard, this function allows you to import the list of PCodes of the current drawing standard from an ASCII file containing the list of PCodes.

Least Squares Translation/Rotation

  • Added 2D+1 transformation

Parcels manager

  • It is now possible to draw the concordance lots of the drawn parcels. (The old lots must have been previously recorded in the cadastral history of the lot)

Global settings

  • In "By project" mode, it is now possible to select a specific directory for the "terrain" data. Thus the "ASCII import" and "Notebook import" functions will open the default directory selected when used.

Improvements

LandXML import

  • The groups of points contained in the LandXML files imported in VisionPlus are now available in the "Groups of points" function.

Combined scale factor

  • The calculation of the combined scale factor has been improved to take into account the Geoid undulation . The report shows us the intermediate results of the average scale factor (SF) and the average height factor (H+N) before the presentation of the combined scale factor (CF)

Field Data calculation

  • New validations have been added when recording coordinates from the field data calculation:

    • PCode validation

    • Management of duplicate points

  • The import of Leica-XML files now handle stations measured in bearing.

  • The field books module string processing now supports english control codes DIST, RECT, PC and PT.

  • The field books merge function is now available in the "Field data calculation" user interface via the "Import from another Vision database" command button.

Point groups

  • New options to create point groups more efficiently:

    • FXY, FZ

    • By rectangular area

    • PL and NZ control code

  • It is now possible to add points "by selection" to an existing point group

Draw/Erase points function

  • When points are drawn in 3D and the "Show null elevations" option in the drawing parameters is set to "No", NZ (unreliable elevation) points will be drawn at elevation 0.

  • The elevation of NZ points will no longer be drawn when the "Elevation/Draw" setting is on and the "Elevation/Show Null Elevations" setting is off

Parcels Manager

  • It is now possible to document a parcel. Thus a new field "Description" is available in the "Parcel Characteristics" of the parcel allowing to write notes, decisions, status or other.

Chains Manager

  • The English control codes DIST, RECT, PC and PT are now supported by VisionPlus.

Research report

  • In the "Deeds" section of the main interface, it is now possible to see if a file is associated with the title as well as consult it.

  • It is now possible to create a "parent" deeds to several existing property titles. The deeds tree of the selected deed will be automatically updated.

Building manager

  • The management of annotations (measurements, building description and appendices) has been improved:

    • Move annotations

    • Rotation of an annotation

Function redesign

In order to optimize and improve the work process, the following functions have been revamped:

  • Merge points [Cogo/File/Merge/Merge points]

  • Field data Merge [Cogo/File/Merge/Merge Field books]

  • PCode list [Cogo/Utilities/PCode/List]

  • Add, modify, delete PCodes [Cogo/Utilities/PCode/Add, modify, delete PCodes]

  • Convert PCodes [Cogo/Utilities/PCode/Conversion]

  • Convert coordinates using factor [Utilities/Convert coordinates using factor]

The redesign of the functions available in VisionCogo allows for better interaction with the CAD especially for drawing elements.

Fixes

  • When drawing points in MicroStation PowerDraft, the text style is no longer automatically activated.

  • When drawing chains in MicroStation PowerDraft, chains are now drawn to the correct scale.

  • ASCII import chains handling has been corrected to reflect the point number offset constant entered in the form.

Improvement

Pre-validation report

  • Several additions have been made to improve the tracking of corrections:

    • Addition of a field to indicate that the error has been processed

    • A "Comment" field has been added to the validation grid in order to document the processing of the pre-validation.

Corrections

  • The "Cadastre/Move text" function has been corrected which now allow a “structure” to be move by using this function several consecutive times.

New features

Compatibility

Compatible with all current CAD versions: BricsCAD v20 and v21, as well as AutoCAD, AutoCAD MAP and Civil 3D from 2014 to 2022.

Building manager

A brand-new building manager which efficiently automates building lining and their dependencies. 

The building manager entities can be used from the building implementation function.

Drawing exportation

The alignment entity can be exported in GeoJSON format files to transfer this data into GIS systems.

LandXML Import/Export

New function allows to import / export points, linework and parcels from/to a LandXML file.

A new field has been added to the chain manager to enter a comment.

Text rotation tool

This function allows you to quickly realign a text according to the trajectory of an element on a drawing, while respecting the drawing rules.

To avoid writing address data more than once, a new function has been added to the research report module to include a different owner to the same address.

Improved management of cadastral history in order to manage the legacy of non-renovated lots.

Coordinate transformation

New user interface for coordinate transformation from a source system to a destination system. The list of supported coordinate systems corresponds to the EPSG code standard.

ASCII import and export functions have been enhanced to provide the ability to convert coordinates from one system to another. 

The list of the most used coordinate transformations in our working territory can now be extended according to the available list defined by the EPSG codes.

Tools

A new tool allows you to reset the position of the main window.


Updates on existing functions

Field data processing

The Point Import report displays the coordinate differences between the coordinates to be imported from the Leica-XML file and those in the Vision database .

The list of fieldwork did not update after importing a raw observation file from the Field Data calculation function. This problem has been fixed.
