Menu: View / Explorer

The Explorer panel provides a comprehensive set of tools for managing the point cloud and created objects within VisionLidar. It controls how the point cloud is displayed in both the main and secondary windows, allowing for efficient visualization and organization.

The Explorer is divided into three distinct tabs, each serving an independent function. Adjustments made in one tab do not affect the others. For example, if points are hidden using the "Classes" tab, they will remain hidden even when switching to the "Scans" tab.

If the Explorer panel is closed, it can be reopened by navigating to Menu: View → Explorer.

The three tabs in the explorer are:

  • Classes – Manage point cloud classification and visibility.

  • Scans – Organize and control individual scans within the project.

  • Objects – Handle imported objects, including scaling, positioning, and exporting.
