The section preferences are in the third preferences section. Each configuration of parameters may be saved with a different name as needed. It is strongly suggested to take the time to set these preferences in your template or in a standard project .mdb in order to be imported into your new projects.
The first part includes setting the default values entered when the interface is opened. The second part is used to configure how the sections are drawn, and to choose line and text types for drawing the sections. The

Offset | Interval | Interval of the values between the primary and secondary markers for the grid's offset. In the main window, this value is multiplied by the drawing scale and divided by the section's horizontal scale. |
Line | If checked, the type of line selected will be drawn in the grid at each marker. | |
Text | If checked, the measurement will be included using the selected style at each marker. | |
Decim. | Number of decimal places to include for the measurement. | |
Dist. | Distance between the measurement and the grid. | |
Tics | If checked, a small line will be drawn under the grid using the chosen style. | |
Length | Length of the tic to be drawn. | |
Altitude | Interval | Interval of the values between the primary and secondary markers for the grid's elevation. In main window, this value is multiplied by the drawing scale and divided by the section's vertical scale. |
Line | If checked, the type of line selected will be drawn in the grid at each marker. | |
Text | If checked, the measurement will be included using the selected style at each marker. | |

Legend | Legend text | If checked, indicates the chaining and volume information of each grid using the chosen style. If you choose not to add a legend, the chaining will be indicated anyway. |
Legend line | If checked, the legend will be framed in the form of a table, or the chaining text will be underlined using the chosen style. | |
Horizontal distance between grids | Distance in the field between two grids horizontally, depends on the scale factor. | |
Vertical distance between grids | Distance in the field between two grids vertically, depends on the scale factor. | |
Position of the legend | Position of the legend, either at the bottom or to the right. If you decide not to draw it, the chaining will be indicated anyway. |
