The alignments used by the Civil module are the same as in virtual surveying. Thus, each alignment already created in the virtual surveying will be accessible via this module. In addition, this module incorporates vertical curve, pipe, and cross-section concepts that are added to the profile.
Multiple alignments can be generated in the project. Simply click the + next to Alignment to access whichever is desired.
This module is very important because it's used to generate profiles and sections. It is also used in road modelling as a centerline. There are four types of alignment. Somewhat like the surface, the interface is divided into multiple tabs, which vary by the type of alignment chosen. For this reason, an alignment created in virtual surveying only has the first two tabs filled, which are the same as in virtual surveying.
