Menu: Analyze / Cylinders
Batch detection of cylinders is possible with this tool. Cylinders will be detected if they respect four parameters:
Tolerance: Maximum distance between point and cylinder
Minimum cylinder radius : Determine Determines the minimum radius to be used to detect a cylinder. Any cylinder with a smaller radius will be ignored
Maximum cylinder radius : Determine Determines the maximum radius to be used to detect a cylinder. Any cylinder with a bigger greater radius will be ignored
Minimum points: Minimum number of points needed to define a cylinder
“Pick” allows the user to select the starting point by picking a point in the point cloud. The function can be restricted to a defined radius around the starting point by using the “Limit by radius” option. If this option isn’t is not checked, it’s it is highly recommended to create a fence around the area to be processed, to minimize the time required for the detection. “Start” will launch the function and any cylinders detected will appear in the explorer under the “Objects” tab in the cylinders drop-down type.
