For virtual surveying to be operational in VisionLidar, it is necessary to connect a database to the project. The database can be created or an existing database can be selected. The “...” button will browse for a database file on the computer or allows the user to create a new database. Two database formats are available; Microsoft Access (.MDB) format or SQLite format (.sqlite). To create the database, click on “Create” and a configuration should appear in the drop down menu. The configuration selected will determine the PCode list available in the database. The base configuration that comes with VisionLidar is Vision+, but it can be changed by modifying the database model linked in the settings. Once a project has been created and points have been added to the database with a specific configuration it is not recommended to change the configuration.
