Menu: Edit / Select
The
Select tool is used to isolate points within the point cloud
for further processing, including deletion, restoration, classification, extraction, and surface generation. Only visible points can be selected—any hidden points (by class or scan) will not be processed.
💡 Tip: If you need to exclude certain classes (
e.g., ground points) from the selection, hide them before using this tool.
How to Use the Select Tool
Activate the Select function.
Define a selection area by drawing a polygon around the desired
points:
Left-click to place each polygon vertex.
Right-click to close the polygon and finalize the selection.
The polygon can be concave or
Five options are offered:
Delete: Deletes selected points
convex, but lines cannot intersect.
Available Actions
Once points are selected, the following options are available:
Delete – Permanently removes the selected points from the project.
Undelete – Restores points that were previously deleted
within the polygon.
Classify
– Assigns the selected points to
a specific classification (chosen from a dropdown list).
Create
Surface – Generates a surface
based on the selected area.
Export to Civil
– Adds the selected points to a surface
for further management in the Civil module.
