Menu: Civil / Start

The interface of the Civil module is divided into two separate sections:

  • Left: The list of interfaces available, in a tree structure. Surfaces, profiles, sections, alignments, LiDAR processing tools and solids are the functions available.

  • Right: The interface selected on the left, with all the options associated with the selected function.

In order to browse between interfaces, simply choose one on the left. If no interface had previously been chosen or if the filename has been selected, the default interface will be the list of surfaces.

The main menus are as follows:

  • Surfaces: Defines surfaces and drawing production tools; contours, grids, and volume calculations.

  • Profiles: Defines profile plans.

  • Sections: Defines sets of section plans.

  • Alignments: Produces alignments, which are required for different interfaces such as modeling roads and sections.

  • Aerial LiDAR: Views aerial LiDAR data and transfer it as a surface. It can also extract the building footprint.

  • Mobile LiDAR: Views mobile LiDAR data, transfers it as a surface and creates alignments from centerlines.

  • Solids: Defines solids and tools for tetrahedralization and calculating volume.

At the bottom of the screen is the progress bar. It indicates where a processed file is being rendered. If processing is taking a long time, it may show how much time remains.
