Civil profiles
This interface is used to manage multiple profiles from alignment and surface. Multiple profile definitions can be created. Simply click "+" next to the profile to show the list. To create a new profile, simply right-click on profile and add a profile. By default, the name will be "Profile_x", where x is the next available increment, and the table's original coordinates will be "0,0", i.e. the drawing origin. Choose the original surface, the profile style (set in preferences), and indicate the coordinates in the lower left corner and which alignments used as references by the profile. When selecting the alignment, you also need to choose what will be drawn within the profile by checking the desired alignment items and surface layers.
Option | Description |
---|---|
Profile Name | The name given to this profile configuration, which will appear in the tree at left. |
Surface | The surface used to generate the profile. This is the surface that will be used as a reference point to generate the graph and adjust the heights. |
Profile style | Used to choose the type of profile used (defined in the preferences). |
View | Opens the viewer to view the profile based on the indicated settings. |
Draw | Draws the current profile in the CAD at the specified origin. |
Erase | Erases the current profile in the CAD. |
Drawing Origin | Used to specify the profile's origin in the drawing. Right-clicking this field makes it possible to specify a point number or coordinate by picking it in the main window. The pop-up menu can also be used to show or hide the coordinates and PCode. The text boxes give the coordinates of the profile's point of intersection in the drawing (lower left corner). |
Chaining start | The initial chaining determined by the first alignment in order to draw the profile's grid. By default, it is the alignment start chaining. |
Chaining end | The chaining determined by the first alignment or the finished profile grid. If nothing is entered, the profile ends at the alignment end. |
Datum plane | The profile grid's minimum elevation. Â By default, this is the minimum height of the alignments and surfaces, rounded down. |
Alignments of references | Used to view the list of alignments displayed in the profile. Chaining will always be determined by the first alignment. Once the alignment has been chosen, check the box if you want to display the alignment’s vertical curve, a line going through every PI, and the surface layer(s), and to choose their respective colors. |
Layers | This button is used to display the selected surface's list of layers for the profile in order to choose which layers to display and which color to draw them as. |
Add reference line | This button is used to add reference alignments. |
