VisionLidar offers some tools to create sectional views of the point cloud in a secondary view window. Only a portion of the point cloud will appear following the indicated axis and the desired thickness. These views are extracted using an alignment or by picking points directly in the point cloud.
Both "Section" and "Profile" show cuts of the point cloud were the user can manually classify or pick points for different functions.
Two other functions exist for more specific uses. "Road by section" is designed to modelize roads and tunnels with templates, while "Surface by section" is designed to vertical kind of surfaces such as buildings walls.
