Surface by sections is a tool that creates vertical sectional views of the point cloud in order to vectorize an element. This tool is particularly useful for vectorizing buildings. A template of the element is created and applied at different elevations in order to semi-automatically create a series of connected 3D polylines. The result of the vectorization can then be exported to a CAD format for modelization.
