Classes

Menu: Explorer / Classes

The Classes tab displays a list of 255 classification categories, named according to the ASPRS standard. Each checked (selected) class is visible in the point cloud and is considered by various analysis and selection tools.

Customization Options

• Users can modify the name and color of each class to suit their needs.

• Class colors are particularly useful in “Color by Class” mode (see Point Cloud Display for more details).

• These modifications are project-specific, allowing for unique class configurations per project.

Point Count Display

The “Pts.” column displays the number of points in each class. To populate this column, users must click on the checkbox to initiate the calculation.

Class Grouping

Users can organize classes into groups for better management:

1. Enable this feature by checking the “By Group” checkbox.

2. Click the button to create and name a new group.

Import & Export

To share or reuse a class list or grouping configuration, users can:

• Export the configuration by clicking .

• Import a saved configuration by clicking .
