View: Viewing a VisionLidar project
Menu: View
This section describes the various visualization options available in VisionLidar. These tools allow you to customize the point cloud display, access image overlays, reveal hidden points, and interact with project elements more effectively. Most of these options can be accessed from the View menu.
Viewing the Point Cloud
Point Cloud Display Modes
You can modify the point cloud’s appearance using different color visualization options:
Color by RGB – Displays points using their original RGB color values.
Color by Intensity – Visualizes the intensity of each point (useful for LiDAR data analysis).
Color by Class – Applies colors based on the point classification (e.g., ground, vegetation, buildings).
Color by Normal – Colors points based on their normal vectors, helping to identify surfaces and orientations.
Color by Scan – Assigns different colors to points based on their source scan file.
Color by Elevation – Displays a height-based color gradient, useful for topographical analysis.
Color by Distance – Colors points based on their distance from the viewer.
Image Overlays
Spherical Images – Enables 360° image overlays, allowing point cloud alignment with panoramic imagery.
Planar Images – Displays 2D images that correspond to specific points in the project.
Point and Object Interaction
Show All Hidden Points – Restores all previously hidden points.
Point Information – Displays detailed XYZ coordinates, intensity, and classification of a selected point.
Surface Cursor – Provides information on surfaces within the point cloud.
Additional Display Options
Object Display – Toggles the visibility of objects within the scene.
Tool Display – Shows or hides active tools on the interface.
Camera Path Recorder – Records camera movements for creating visual presentations or animations.
Other Viewing Tools
VisionLidar also includes additional tools for enhancing navigation and visualization, ensuring an optimized point cloud viewing experience.
