Create an Image from the Point Cloud

Menu: View / Spherical images / Tools

This tool allows users to generate a spherical PNG image from the point cloud. The image is created based on user-defined parameters and will be saved in the project's image folder.

1. Configuring Image Generation Parameters

• Radius – Defines the area from which points will be used to generate the image.

  • Only points within the specified radius will be included.

  • Points outside this range will not appear in the image.

• Size – Determines the image resolution by setting the number of pixels for its width.

  • The height of the image will always be half the width, following the spherical image format.

2. Creating the Spherical Image

1. Pick and Create – Select a point on the screen to define the image’s center.

   • The radius will be calculated based on this point.

2. An annotation pin will be added to the main screen at the selected point.

3. The generated spherical PNG image will be saved in the project's image folder.
