Creating an alignment with automatic detection tools

The Edge detection or Line by intensity tools for exemple, are effective ways to find linear elements in the point cloud and generate alignments from them.

Once the lines are extracted, simply click on "Create chains" which will open the "Enter points/chains" window then follow the procedure as describe in "Creating an alignment by picking points in the point cloud"
